https://www.bestcoastpairings.com/event/YMPYRHCQW3 - You will not be able to register via BCP. If you have yet to register please visit https://tabletop.events/conventions/tampa-nerd-con-2/badgetypes and register there. We will manually add you to the event. You’ll need to purchase the 3 Day badge ($25), and then purchase the Age of Sigmar Day 1 Ticket($50).
Because we are manually adding everyone to the BCP event that means list submission will be a little weird. Lists should be made via the AoS App or Warscroll Builder. If BCP does not allow you to put your list in, please email all lists to kaijugaminglounge@gmail.com with the subject line being your Full Name - Tampa NerdCon AoS List Submission. That will make it easier on us to find your list.
This weekend we will be doing rolling single elimination events. The schedule is still pending, but we will start with a GT and after first round losses we will offer rolling single elimination 3 round events. This will continue all weekend. The last rolling 3 round event will start at 4 PM.
The primary event is planned as a 3 Day event, but we’ll be using best judgment as we see sign ups. We’ll continue to have 3 Days of Age of Sigmar, but the last day might just be a few rolling RTTs.
The 3 round events, paint is not required, a paint score will not be issued. Armies can be swapped per event, not per round. They will be done a bit differently than described below. As to not overload BCP and take time flipping through events on the app, it will be a manual bracketing system. I will randomly place people and it will force pairings that way. These will make it to BCP either Sunday or Monday night. If you plan on switching out armies at all please have printed army lists for your opponents.

Terrain footprints are templates that go under 3D terrain. Treat the template as an extension of the 3D terrain. If your unit is wholly on a template you have cover. If you are behind a template and being shot you have cover. If you are garrisoned in a terrain feature the aura will begin at the edge of the template. The same is true for Mysterious Terrain rules, if a piece is marked as Mystical, then the 1” aura is from the edge of the template. The sizes of the templates are 5.5”x5.5” (small), 10.5”x5.5”(long), and 8.5”x8.5”(medium). We will be using 3 small, 3 long, and 3 medium.
Terrain will be set up on tables prior to Game 1 do not move the terrain footprints or terrain on the footprint. If a faction terrain feature can not be placed due to the terrain map being used. That player may remove 1 terrain feature/template and place their faction terrain.
Each table will have 12 Mysterious Terrain Tokens, 2 of each Deadly, Damned, Inspiring, Sinister, Arcane and Mystical. The table will also have 4 terrain rule tokens, 2 Wyldwood, 1 Garrison, and 1 Impassable. Players will roll off for attacker and defender. The attacker will choose 8 of the 12 Mysterious Terrain Tokens. The defender will then assign each of those Mysterious Terrain Tokens to the terrain. The defender will also place the 4 terrain rule tokens. You can not double up Mysterious Terrain Tokens on a single terrain feature. (i.e you can not assign Mystical and Arcane to a single terrain feature.) You can not double up terrain rules tokens on a single terrain feature. (i.e You can not place a Wlydwood and Impassable on a single terrain feature.) You CAN place a Mysterious Terrain Token and a terrain rules token on a single terrain feature.
The attacker may choose which side of the battlefield they will deploy on and deploy their first unit.
Another note on terrain. If a section of the 3D printed terrain is 3” or higher it is impassable. This is to prevent terrain rules shenanigans. Also the terrain templates are ⅛” thick. To the best of your ability, treat them as if that thickness does not exist.
The rules and faq cut off date for the Tampa Nerd Con AoS Event will be 11:59 PM EST September 15th.
The list due date for the Tampa Nerd Con AoS Event will be 11:59 PM EST September 15th. Lists must be made with either Warscroll Builder or the AoS app.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ov8mWgqy0gP6RDtjJoryKZ-3H3714MODXmor3sceoEE/edit?usp=sharing - The previous link is an edited version of the ITC Code of Conduct Living document. There are various changes that make more sense for Age of Sigmar, so please read this as it will be used at the Tampa NerdCon AoS Event.
The model policy for the Tampa Nerd Con AoS Event will be inclusive within reason. We encourage WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get, a model with an Ensorcelled Weapon is played as a model with an Ensorcelled Weapon), but encourage conversion and exceptional hobby work even more. The general rule of thumb is consistency and explaining everything to your opponent pregame. 3D printed bits and models will be allowed. Please email pictures of 3D printed bits, models, and conversions to kaijugaminglounge@gmail.com for final approval.
The painting requirements for the Tampa Nerd Con AoS Event will be,
● Three colors minimum
○ Primer is a color
○ Shades/Washes are colors
○ Light dry brushing will count
● Basing is encouraged but is NOT REQUIRED
● Concept armies are encouraged!
● Do not have any part of the model's material showing, no gray plastic etc…
Painting: Will be judged based on the following Rubric by the Tournament Organizer or their chosen representative. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c4cSFJXL2IGWyqy3tH6aHnkqwMdiLln8yvZCXal7pNs/edit?usp=sharing
Each Criteria will be scored 1-5 points.
Army Cohesion - this is a score of how “unified” the army feels as a force. This includes color scheme, conversions, etc.. A 1 means that every unit feels like it’s from a different painter/army and a 5 means the army feels like one cohesive whole with a clear “theme”
Basing - This is a score based on the bases of the army as a whole with a 1 representing universally basic bases with little beyond flock and a 5 representing basing that helps to enhance the overall army
Technical skills - This score represents the recognizable skills applied in painting that cover a wide range. A 1 represents little work beyond base colors with a 5 representing multiple skills used to create distinct effects
Aesthetic - This is the individual judges score based on the "wow factor" of the army and its presentation.
Assembly - this is the score based on assembly which includes mold lines gaps and other assembly issues. A 1 represents an army with many significant issues while a 5 represents a nearly flawless army.
Color Palette - this score represents use of a color palette including application of color theory and how the colors work on the model. A 1 represents an army that either clashes heavily or blends into obscurity and a 5 represents an army where the colors work well and represent the army well
Conversions/Bonuses - this represents any sort of conversions, unique elements or other items that really add an extra oomph to the army.
Choose one of your opponents you thought was the most enjoyable to play with.
Each round will be 3 hours long with 10 minutes of set up / discussion and 2.5~ hours of play.
A new battle round should not start with less than 20 minutes on the master clock. This battle round will be treated as the final round and scored appropriately.
Dice down will be called when the clock is at 00:00:00. That is the end of the round, score the game as if that was the final round. For example if you end on turn 4 do not score round 5.
If a chess clock is requested to be used by either player it must be used. This can only be done prior to setup. It is up to both players to maintain the integrity of the clock. Each player will receive 85 minutes. Once a player's time is out they can only make mandatory rolls, i.e rolling saves, battle shock, etc. The master clock will start 5 minutes after all tables with chess clocks have started. This will allow for games with chess clocks to end naturally.
